Make Your Health a Priority with Check-Up

    What is Check-Up?

Check-up is a comprehensive health screening to evaluate the general health status of the person. It allows early diagnosis of possible diseases before symptoms appear.

    Purposes

    • To see the general state of health of the body
    • Catching diseases at an early stage
    • Identify risk factors (e.g., heart, diabetes, cancer)
    • Providing lifestyle health advice

    Content

The check-up program may vary according to the person, age, gender and risk factors. It usually includes the following tests:

    • Blood tests: Sugar, cholesterol, liver and kidney function
    • Urine tests
    • Imaging: Chest X-ray, ultrasound, etc.
    • Heart evaluation: ECG, stress test
    • Physical examination and doctor’s interview

    Who should have it done?

    • Individuals over the age of 30 at least 1 time per year
    • Those with a family history of chronic diseases are more regular.
    • It is recommended that people with risk factors such as intense stress, smoking, alcohol, and obesity have it done at regular intervals.

    How Does the Process Work?

    1. Appointment and Preliminary Interview

    • First of all, an appointment is made at the hospital/clinic.
    • The doctor or counselor takes information such as the person’s age, gender, occupation, family history, lifestyle (smoking, alcohol, nutrition, exercise).
    • In line with this information, the appropriate check-up program is determined for the person.

    2. Preparation

    • Before the check-up, fasting is usually requested for 8-12 hours (especially for blood tests).
    • If there are regularly used medications, they are evaluated under the supervision of a doctor.
    • It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes.

    3. Tests and Examinations

    • Blood and urine tests (sugar, cholesterol, liver, kidney, etc.)
    • Imaging (chest X-ray, ultrasound, MRI/CT if necessary)
    • Heart checks (ECG, stress test, blood pressure measurement)
    • Physical examination (internal medicine specialist, additional branches such as ophthalmology, ENT, obstetrics and gynecology when necessary)

    4. Evaluation of Results

    • Test results are usually available on the same day or within 1-2 days.
    • The doctor compiles a general health report by putting all the results together.
    • If there is a risky or unusual finding, referral is made to the relevant branch.

    5. Reporting and Tracking

    • A detailed report is given to the person.
    • Health-related recommendations (nutrition, exercise, lifestyle) are shared.
    • If necessary, a new plan is created for regular check-ups.
